"Dr. Carroll McLeod is originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, but now resides in Jackson. Growing up as the son of a physician, Dr. McLeod was no stranger to the medical field when he began his degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.
After graduating in 1988, he began an internship in Internal Medicine at Oschner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. McLeod then completed a residency in Anesthesia at the University of Texas Medical Branch located in Galveston, Texas. While in Texas, he completed a pain fellowship where he trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Galveston as well at M.D. Anderson Medical Center in Houston. Dr. McLeod is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. McLeod treats many different types of pain ranging from cancer and spine related pain, to Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. In addition, he specializes in spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal pain pump implantation/therapy, and he conducts research in technological advances for such devices. Dr. McLeod is the first physician in Mississippi to offer a Sphenopalatine Ganglion Block, which used a minimally invasive SpenoCath device to help patients with migraines, headaches, and/or trigeminal pain."
