"Dr. David Nelson loves family medicine. He enjoys working with families and sees the family unit as an extension of a person's health. A family's health affects the individual, and vice versa. His goal is to provide the best care to individuals and their families. Being a part of an independent, private group gives him the flexibility to do what is best for his patients.
Areas of particular interest to Dr. Nelson include diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and the atopic conditions of asthma and allergies. While in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Nelson underwent additional allergy training and provided allergy care including skin testing, allergy shots, and asthma care.
Dr. Nelson feels it is important to be involved and serve the community. He grew up in Edina and attended the public schools from kindergarten through high school. He served in the United States Air Force as a family physician and flight surgeon and continues to serve in the Minnesota Air National Guard as a flight surgeon. He is also adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine."
