Benita Walton-Moss, FNP, PhD

"Dr. Benita Walton-Moss is passionate about providing healthcare to the underserved and others without easy access to healthcare, particularly health education and primary prevention. Dr. Walton-Moss retired from John Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2015 as an Associate Professor where she had a primary role in developing the family nurse practitioner program. She earned her Bachelor’s in nursing from Johns Hopkins in 1978 and her Master’s in nursing from the University of Rochester in 1982 specializing as a family nurse practitioner. She earned her Ph.D. in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco in 1994."
