Martha Pierce, MD

"Board certified in internal medicine since 1994 and most recently re-certified in 2014, Dr. Pierce has been practicing in Frederick for more than 20 years. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her residency training in internal medicine with a focus on primary care at the George Washington University Hospital.

Honored twice as a "Top Doc" in Frederick Magazine (most recently in 2015), Dr. Pierce has also been the medical director of  the Hood College Medical Center for more than 15 years.

Prior to going into medicine, Dr. Pierce taught high school at The Sidwell Friends School and St Alban's in Washington DC. She also worked for the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration researching solar activity."
