"FirstChoice Family Medicine was started after I worked a 14-hour urgent care shift and saw 107 patients! This motivated me to open a practice that provides medical care how I would want it and also gives my patients what they need and deserve. It allows me to spend quality time with my patients, provide education, and empower them to be in charge of their health. I am dedicated to building a strong relationship with patients in order to better care for their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Treating patients as a whole person enables better health and quality of life. I will always strive to improve on this care. I received my Bachelor of Arts at University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to starting medical school, I taught Asian American studies classes at California State University, Northridge. I then received my medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed residency in family medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore. I am board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. I am hoping to become board certified in Obesity Medicine. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my daughter, Sophia, and my husband, Justin, traveling as much as possible and eating all the foods of the world."
