"Dr. Cylburn E. Soden, Sr. is a board-certified dermatologist with over 35 years of experience as a dermatologist and the founder of Soderma Dermatology. He graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland in 1968 and University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1974. He completed residences in both pediatrics and dermatology at Walter Reed Medical Center. Dr. Soden, Sr. served for over twenty years in the US Army working as pediatrician, dermatologist and hospital commander, and retired at the rank of colonel. Dr. Soden is fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery..

Dr. Soden Sr. opened his dermatology practice in 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a few years he moved the practice to Silver Spring, Maryland and later to Laurel, Maryland. Dr. Soden, Sr. and his wife, Virginia, were joined by their son, Dr. Cylburn E. Soden, Jr., in 2008 and daughter-in-law, Kinosha Soden, in 2014. He enjoys all areas of dermatology and has a particular expertise in treating pigmentary problems, pediatric skin disorders, disorders of the hair and scalp and cosmetic procedures."
