Juan C. Abril, MD

"Dr. Juan C. Abril, is board certified in pulmonary, intensive care, and sleep medicine.  Dr. Abril practices in private practice at Chevy Chase Pulmonary Associates, located in Chevy Chase, MD.  He is affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is also affiliated with Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD.

Dr. Abril received his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota, Colombia, graduating in 2002. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.  He completed his Fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine at The George Washington University. 

He has co-authored articles on mechanical ventilation and has participated in research in non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, chest ultrasound, and granulomatous lung diseases. "
