"Dr. Ben Hagopian is a board-certified family physician, specializing in integrative medicine. He earned his MD, as well as a Masters in Public Health (MPH), from Case Western Reserve University (consistently rated a top tier medical school) in Cleveland, OH. He went on to train at Maine Medical Center for four years where he was selected to remain on as chief resident. Dr. Hagopian’s desire to focus on health promotion and disease prevention rather than simply treating symptoms of a disease led him to do a fellowship in integrative medicine at Maine Medical Center and the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. After completing his extensive training, he spent 3 years working in Oxford County, providing primary and integrative care to rural Mainers. After spending time learning about direct primary care and the value it brings to patients, he strongly believes that a focus on lifestyle medicine, coupled with high-quality, personalized care and lower costs are the solution to our healthcare crisis. Outside of his medical practice, Ben has a passion for healthcare system reform and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Maine Academy of Family Physicians."
