"Dr. Mueller grew up in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Augustana College in Rock Island, she went to medical school at the University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Medicine. When she graduated in 1988, she began her internship at Cook County Hospital. She continued in the residency program and even became the Resident Teacher of the Year in 1991. At that time, she began practice at Elgin Family Physicians, providing full spectrum family practice including obstetrics for 24 years.
After leaving in July of 2015, she started High Touch Medicine, a concierge family practice in Algonquin, IL. Since coming to the Elgin area she has participated with and supported many local organizations. She has been on the board of Well Child Center and has also participated in many activities for charity including the Literacy Connection Trivia Bee, Community Crisis Center auctions, several walkathons for American Heart Association, March of Dimes and other groups. Over the last few years, Dr. Mueller has been the medical director for Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice.
She continues to participate with her church, Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Dundee. She also enjoys her book club, pub trivia contests, crosswords and other puzzles and exercising at the Dundee Park District. She has been honored to receive the Elgin Altrusa Woman of the Year in 2014 and to have been named by her peers to Chicago Magazine’s Top Docs in 2014.
Personally, she has expanded her family since coming to the Elgin Area. Dr. Mueller and her husband have a daughter who is currently living in Ohio and attending college. Their son attends Westminster Christian School."
