There are no separate copays or office visit fees. Insurance billing is not done nor are superbills for reimbursement generated. For this monthly membership fee, you obtain 30-60 minute appointments with your physician, same or next day appointments, 24/7 access to your physician for emergencies, labs at a much reduced rate, no insurance or government interference in your appointment- and a chance to focus on health and wellness. In my practice, you will be able to communicate with me via cell phone, email and Skype. And your medical record will remain your own–not shared with insurance companies or their databases (unless you choose to share it). Direct care medicine is not an insurance plan and is not a substitute for health insurance. You should still maintain your present plan, or purchase a high deductible catastrophic care plan, because you will need coverage for hospital care and any care provided by anyone but me."
