"Dr. Angela Gerguis is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She pursued her medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed an Accelerated Internship during her fourth year of medical school and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1996. Dr. Gerguis began her own practice of Medicine in Baxley, Georgia and moved to Statesboro, Georgia to practice with her husband, John. They have been in practice together since their marriage in 2000. Dr. Gerguis practices the full spectrum of Family Medicine from newborns to seniors. She provides acute and chronic disease management, and performs many minor office surgeries. Since 2013 Dr. Angela Gerguis is serving as the Medical Director of Ogeechee Area Hospice and enjoys doing so in addition to her private practice."
