"As an internal medicine physician in Sandy Springs, GA, Dr. Catherine Dekle takes time with each of her patients and values communication between the physician and the patient. She believes that the only way to correctly diagnose and prevent disease is to take a thorough history and perform a thorough physical exam.
She feels that getting to know the whole person is critical to taking great care of her patients. That is why she moved to concierge medicine where she can provide the time her patients deserve.
Dr. Dekle earned her undergraduate degree in history at Yale University. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating at the top of her class. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University and was recognized as the Outstanding Resident in General Internal Medicine.
Board-certified in Internal Medicine since 2001, Dr. Dekle is a member of the physician honor society Alpha Omega Alpha and of the American College of Physicians. Before joining PartnerMD, Dr. Dekle practiced internal medicine as part of the Piedmont Physicians Group, as well as at the Centers for Disease Control and Emory University.
At Emory, she was an instructor in the Department of Medicine and worked at the Atlanta VA Hospital. Before moving to Atlanta in 2003, Dr. Dekle served as an associate professor of medicine at Vanderbilt University and practiced at the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Hospital."
