"I chose a medical career to help people and am proud to say that after all these years I still receive my greatest reward from seeing people set free from their health struggles to live their best life. In primary care I have the privilege of developing lasting relationships with my patients which allows me to help them as a whole person: mind, body, and Spirit. With Direct Primary Care I am able to serve people in my community with a spirit of excellence at a fair price.
I graduated from the University of Colorado in 1993 and spent 5 years pursuing a career racing off road bicycles. During this period I worked many jobs to support myself and travelled to many places around the world. The experiences I gained during this period are invaluable to my career as a Medical Doctor. At 27 years old I was accepted into the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. In 2002 I graduated and moved to Jacksonville, FL where I entered residency at the Mayo Clinic. My years at Mayo taught me to be a Doctor, but my training didn't end there. I continue to pursue learning and have developed expertise in lifestyle medicine, functional medicine and the latest advances in traditional western medicine.
My mission has been to develop a team and a system to optimize our patients’ health and eliminate chronic diseases by treating the root causes of illness. We understand that “no man is an island” and we work hard at developing healthy communities. We exist to provide patients an alternative to a broken medical system. A holistic and root cause analysis approach utilizing allopathic, naturopathic, and functional medical modalities better offers our patients the opportunity to take control of their health and live their lives to the fullest potential."
