"Dr. Daniel R. Marin is a leading physician practicing in Miami, Florida who started ProForm MD to address the specific needs and challenges faced by discerning patients in the South Florida community.
Dr. Marin specializes in pain medicine, functional restoration, musculoskeletal preventive care, and physical medicine. He focuses his clinical and interventional skills on providing high quality individualized service to improve the function and livelihood of his patients; attempting to pull the patients out of the “whirlwind” of high volume medicine, and safely, conservatively address “the core” of their problem. The ultimate clinical goal is to result in a patient that is MORE functional, capable and in less pain then before. “We try to get our patients out of the red of pain, and into the black of performance .”
Major issues addressed in his clinic include: back pain, sciatica, radiculopathy, neuropathy, neck pain, non-operative scoliosis Care, regenerative medicine, joint pain including the shoulders, knees and hips. He offers traditional clinical physician services, interventional services, nutritional counseling, and physical therapy including customized back exercises.
Dr. Marin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Miami. He then went in to complete his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Marin completed his internship at Yale – New Haven Hospital in New Haven Connecticut.
He then went on to complete his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the prestigious Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was elected by faculty and peers to serve as Chief Resident in 2008.
Dr. Marin sought further education, and completed a fellowship in Anesthesia Pain Medicine at Emory University, working at the world renown Emory Orthopedics & Spine Center.
Dr. Marin then was recruited to the faculty position of Assistant Professor, at the University of South Florida in the Department of Neurosurgery, focusing on the interface of surgical and non surgical spine care.
Dr. Marin, a South Florida native, then returned and initiated community clinical practice in the Miami area in 2012.
