"Dr. Homan founded Canopy Pediatrics to re-establish the mutually rewarding doctor-patient relationship. When you visit Dr. Homan at Canopy Pediatrics, you will not feel rushed, instead you will feel like you're visiting a friend.
Dr. Homan received an Ivy League education for both his undergraduate and medical training. He attended Princeton University then the Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Next he completed his pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He has experience working as a hospitalist, a pediatric emergency room physician, a private-practice pediatrician, and as a child-abuse medical director.
To better support his breastfeeding families, he became a board-certified lactation consultant. Dr. Homan has also added "breastfeeding medicine" to his practice, treating breastfeeding parents for problems such as mastitis, blocked ducts, supply deficiencies, and other breastfeeding related medical problems. To help his families struggling with ADHD, sleep issues, and other behavioral problems he became a Level 3 Positive Parenting Program counselor for both children and adolescents. And he has continued to improve his knowledge regarding many difficult medical problems such as infant food sensitivities, migraine headaches, asthma, and eczema."
