"Dr. Hilton Gomes arrived in Miami in 2004 after earning his medical degree in his home country of Brazil during which he was awarded a research scholarship (CNPq) for his work in immunology. He was part of a select group of physicians chosen yearly to train at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital through their prestigious William Harrington “Latin American” training program. Motivated by his interest in the fields of cardiac imaging, endocrine disorders, and oncology, he went on to a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine where he was made Chief Fellow and worked mentoring radiology residents and medical students. He later accepted the position of medical director of a Humana medical center during which he sat at the board of quality control and peer review. Three years later, Dr. Gomes fulfilled his dream of opening a patient-centered concierge medical office. Dr. Gomes finds the greatest satisfaction in using his clinical and radiologic background in the prevention of cardiovascular disease and cancer in adult and geriatric population, while increasing overall quality of life. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and is passionate about growing tropical plants including the Brazilian jabuticaba, rare palm trees and various tropical orchids."
