"Dr. Chan was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Toronto, Canada. He received his medical degree from the University of Toronto (ranked #6 in the world according to USnews.com) and his residency in Family Medicine at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke Virgina. After completing his residency, he moved to St. Petersburg Florida to practice family medicine. Since then, he has been practicing traditional and holistic medicine for over 20 years. His guiding principle in medicine is to treat his patients as if they were his only family members.
He has held past appointments as an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. His medical interests focus on integrating the knowledge and traditions of multiple medical disciplines to help optimize his patients' health throughout their lifespan.
With a mission to find the root cause of each disease, he actively searches for early detection of heart disease, cancers, dementia and toxic metals. He also addresses undesirable changes in aging, loss of energy, weight gain, joint pain and cardiovascular problems. These risks can be identified and addressed years before they cause serious problems. He is an expert in the use of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy and has helped many patients over the past decade achieve optimal and safe hormone balance.
