"Mirna Avendano, APRN-C, is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has over ten years of healthcare experience and is certified in Allergen Compounding from the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. At Conviva Wellington Family, she provides compassionate, patient-focused primary care with a commitment to medical excellence. In 2020, Ms. Avendano earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois, attending 625 practicum hours in family medicine and pediatrics. In 2011, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Emergency and Intensive Care from the College of Health Sciences of the Ana G. Mendez University System in Carolina, Puerto Rico. In 2009, she received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Columbia College in Yauco, Puerto Rico. From 2005 to 2011, Ms. Avendano served in the United States Army in Puerto Rico. She assisted the company executive and company commander in developing tactical training plans. In 2011, Ms. Avendano was honored with an Army Achievement Medal, and she was awarded the Nurse of the Quarter distinction from Mayaguez Medical Center. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners, FLANP, and currently serves as a First Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. In her free time, she enjoys books, movies, and spending time with her family."
