"I grew up the daughter of a busy Midwest doctor and learned at a young age what it means to be committed to your patients. After receiving my bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan, I moved to Indianapolis, IN, where I worked in health care education and delivery research at Indiana University Medical Center. My desire to help patients on an individual level led me (husband and toddler in tow) to enter medical school at Indiana University. After graduating with honors, I moved to Denver to complete my residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Three years later, I finished residency with a love for Colorado, a new son, and a strong commitment to primary care. My medical journey began at brand-new Parker Adventist Hospital, where I joined a private practice, and in 2010 I became an employed physician of Centura Health. Over the years, however, it became increasingly clear that corporate medicine was not a good fit for me, and in 2013, I made the decision to take my journey in a new direction."
