He then received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Via Christi Family Medicine Residency at the University of Kansas, Wichita. He served as a chief resident during his senior year of residency.Dr. Hetzel is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic manipulative treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
