"Lourdes is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined PeakMed in October 2018. She was raised in Dallas, Texas and recently moved to the Denver area with her husband, Victor. Her family is originally from Mexico, and she speaks both English and Spanish fluently.Lourdes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas in 2005 and then spent a few years working for Children’s Medical Center Dallas before starting PA school. She attended Harding University Physician Assistant Program in Arkansas and graduated in 2010.After completing PA school, Lourdes moved back to Dallas to be close to family and worked for the Parkland Health & Hospital System for seven years in an outpatient adult medicine clinic. During this time, she was nominated on several occasions for “Parkland PA of the Year” and won the award in 2016.Lourdes has had the privilege of attending various medical mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala and has a special passion for serving the underserved and Hispanic communities. She finds inspiration for her work in the medical field by observing the life and service of Mother Teresa.Lourdes has enjoyed serving PeakMed’s community of patients and is thankful for the time the Direct Primary Care model allows her to dedicate to caring for each patient she encounters.
