"Dr. Ricca received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1996. During that same year, he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. In 1999 he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. After residency, he has been involved in the education of another generation of doctors as a clinical instructor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ricca is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is particularly interested in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Since 2003, he has consistently received national recognition as one of the "Best Doctors in America," as selected by physician colleagues. Dr. Ricca grew up outside of Chicago, in Glen Ellyn, Illinois."
