David Mellman, MD

"Dr. Mellman graduated from the Colorado College with a degree in history. He studied medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he received numerous academic awards and was also selected into the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He did his medical residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and he then spent an additional year as a Chief Resident. He has practiced at Rose Medical Center since 1998. During his career he has mentored medical students and residents along with establishing a vibrant Internal Medicine practice. He has received multiple teaching awards and been selected as a Top Doctor in Denver’s 5280 magazine on numerous occasions. He helps evaluate physicians for a national organization that ensures quality of care, and has worked as an expert witness on many medical-legal cases. Dr. Mellman served as a team physician for the Colorado Avalanche from 1998-2017 and chair of Internal Medicine at Rose Medical Center from 2007-2017."
