"Dr. Miranda is a native of Colorado. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Dr. Miranda earned his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine in 1990. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Following his residency, Dr. Miranda remained at Baylor College of Medicine as a full time faculty member and served for ten years as director of the Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program. During this time, Dr. Miranda also completed the Master Teachers’ Fellowship Program at Baylor. In 2003, Dr. Miranda returned to Colorado and opened his private practice, South Denver Internal Medicine, located at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree. Dr. Miranda is board certified in internal medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). In addition to maintaining a busy medical practice he is on the volunteer clinical teaching faculty at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine for which he received a medical student teaching award. Shortly after starting his practice in the Denver area, Dr. Miranda was chosen by his peers as one of Denver’s 5280 Magazine 250 Top Doctors."
