"Dr. Weixelman grew up in Fort Collins and moved to Illinois for awhile, completing nursing school and worked as an emergency room nurse. After medical school, she returned to the area and finished her Family Medicine Residency in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She has worked in Family Medicine and Urgent Care since completing residency, working in Wellington, Red Feather Lakes and Fort Collins. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has completed fellowships in Emergency Medicine, Aerospace Medicine, Wilderness Medicine and Emergency Ultrasound. She is adjunct faculty with UC Health, a Flight Surgeon in the Air National Guard in Wyoming, and has deployed to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Qatar. For the last 16 years she has served as a member of the Larimer County Search and Rescue Team. She is also member of the Red Feather Lakes Volunteer Fire Department. She loves to educate the public on First Aid awareness and teaches CPR, Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder as well as Stop the Bleed programs."
