The practice of Medicine has changed over the years and I, like you, have seen it first hand. Waiting, hurried visits with the doctor (or, all too often, his/her assistant), unanswered questions and the anxiety and lack of confidence that comes from quick decision making and treatment plans without your input or the the time needed to answers your questions, are the current norm in today’s healthcare environment. Overwhelmed physicians and frustrated patients has led to everyone’s lowered expectations. Sadly, the system is flawed and depersonalizing, for physician and patient alike.

Currently (and for many years now) most practices must adhere to the narrow and restrictive needs of insurance companies, HMO bureaucracies, pharmacy restrictions, and other third party factions, all of whom have destroyed the basis of what makes excellent medical care excellent-the time and energy necessary to treat each patient as an individual.

My experience, over the last 30 years, has mimicked yours and so, for nearly 15 years, I have fought the trends by establishing Stuart B. Kipper, M. D. and Associates- a Concierge Medical Practice where the Doctor-Patient relationship is paramount.
