Oregon Family Health

"Dr. Peffley founded Oregon Family Health in 2007 after resigning from active duty service in the Navy. Two years later, he recruited his former residency-mate, Dr. Lucas to join the practice. Running out of room, Drs. Peffley and Lucas constructed the current building on Jefferson Street in 2013. By 2018, what the practice really needed was another opinion (one of reason), so Dr. Hoover (also a residency-mate) was recruited to join Oregon Family Health.

The landscape of medicine has changed significantly over the 20+ years since Dr. Peffley graduated from medical school. He has become increasingly disenchanted with the current insurance-driven healthcare system. It led him to make the decision to leave the current insurance model of medicine and venture into DIRECT PRIMARY CARE. The name of his new practice is DOCPEFF DIRECT PRIMARY CARE. Same Peffley, same Cathy, same building, same vision and mission and personal approach, but MORE TIME and ATTENTION for patients, LESS HASSLE with insurnace carriers, and more time for his family.

Drs. Lucas and Hoover are continuing on in the current system. Drs. Lucas and Hoover, front staff, medical assistancts, and scribes are continuing their practice in the same building with the same excellent care and unwaivering dedication to their patients. However, they are creating a unique identity and a new "face" for their practice as they launch COMPASS MEDICAL CLINIC.

Although Drs. Peffley, Lucas, and Hoover will continue to work together, share facilities, and serve the community together, their practices will diverge and operate on parallel tracks. Because of the differing nature of the two new practices, Dr. Peffley will only be on call for his practice. Dr.s Lucas and Hoover will continue to share call with Dr. Remington. Beyond that, we remain as happy and functional as any standard, extended, whacky family can be."
