"As humans we are multifaceted. As a Family Physician I enjoy getting to know my patients and understanding the different aspects of their lives that make them a unique individual. Taking care of the whole family allows me to understand the dynamics of their lives that much better.
Combining my passion for Family Medicine and Sports Medicine allows me to promote my philosophy of "Prevention is Key." You don't need to be a professional athlete to benefit from the positive aspects of physical activity.
While I enjoy treating sports injuries, I also like the challenge of introducing exercise in to people's lives. Increasing your fitness translates in to improved quality of life. When you are in shape you tend to eat and sleep better and have decreased stress levels.
I have been a life long runner - having competed in college on the track. Over the years, I have also added swimming, mountain biking, road biking and yoga to my exercise regimen as cross training is vital. I commute to the office periodically on my bike and have been known to compete in mountain bike races or triathlons from time to time. I am also an avid skier, serving on the volunteer doctor patrol at Alpine Meadows since 2002. I live in Los Gatos with my husband and daughter."
