Philosophy
Dr. Micha believes in total patient care with an emphasis on preventative medicine and health maintenance. More often than not, subspecialty care is focused on what to do after a disease has presented and not how to potentially prevent the disease in the first place.
By maintaining a small concierge practice Dr. Micha is afforded the opportunity of getting to know each and every patient on a much deeper level. Dr. Micha is known to take 3 - 5 hours with patients before even spending the time necessary on research, diagnosing, care planning, triaging, and consulting with the patient and family. It is because of the total patient focus that he better understands patients as a whole.
While there is highly-credentialed support staff at Cornell Concierge Medicine, Dr. Micha believes that medicine is best administered by the physician in the lead role. His 17 years of training and additional 30+ years of clinical experience provide a level of expertise that can not be replaced. After 35 years as a nationally renowned cancer sub-specialist, Dr. Micha chose to focus on Primary Care which has a 2.5x greater impact on improving life expectancy than specialty care. "
