"Dr. Salwan “Sal” AbiEzzi grew up in the wine-producing region of Lebanon, and after immigrating to the U.S., completed his undergraduate education at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He majored in biology, with two minors in human psychology and computer science, graduating magna cum laude at age 19.
Dr. AbiEzzi graduated from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in 1993 and completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship in orthopedic surgery. With his keen interest in improving health through fitness and mobility, his research focused on advancing our medical knowledge of the healing properties of the human knee as it relates to injury and aging.
Following his residency, Dr. AbiEzzi joined the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in 1999. San Jose Magazine and the nonprofit Consumers’ Checkbook Magazine have recognized Dr. AbiEzzi on several occasions on their list of the “Best Doctors” in the Bay Area. "
