"Dr. Savant is a San Francisco native. He received his bachelor’s degree in classics from College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts .
During his internal medicine residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, he was given the “Grace Under Fire” award by the Emergency Department. And later, when he taught at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, medical students singled him out as an excellent clinical teacher and role model.
In 2001, Dr. Savant started the Savant Medical Group, a general practice based in San Francisco, while also active on the medical staff of two prestigious hospitals in San Francisco: St. Mary’s Medical Center and St. Francis Memorial Hospital. He has also served as chair of the Asian Physician’s Advisory Committee, been named a Top Performing Physician for the Hill’s Physician Medical Group for four consecutive years, and received a five-star rating on Yelp.com from his patients."
