"Dr. Julie Ma is a board-certified internist with a special interest in Women's Health. She lives with her husband and children in West Los Angeles.
Dr. Ma was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved to Los Angeles as a young child. She grew up locally and attended the local public school system. She attended a seven-year medical school program at Bryn Mawr College and earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology before attending the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University. She married her husband, Gary Rosenberg and remained on staff at University Hospitals of Cleveland where she maintained a busy clinical practice and actively participated int he residency training program.
With the birth of their children, Dr Ma and her family returned to Los Angeles where she accepted a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and opened the Pacific Palisades office for the UCLA Medical Group in 1998. Soon thereafter, Dr. Johnson joined the office. The current practice, the Pacific Palisades Medical Group, Inc. was created in 2003 with Drs. Johnson, Mcnicoll and Green.
Dr. Ma divides her time between the demands and joys of raising her family and providing high quality healthcare to her patients. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook, and travel. She is an avid runner and enjoys yoga and pilates as her primary forms of exercise. Dr. Ma and her husband, a Foot and Ankle and Trauma Orthopaedist, have three daughters, Naomie, Hanna, and Sofia. All three children attend The Buckley School and are avid tennis players.
Dr. Ma's practice style focuses on lifestyle modification in the maintenance of good health and prevention of disease. Her special interests include Women's Health, including but not limited to menstrual disorders, menopause, osteoporosis, depression, and heart disease. Dr. Ma incorporates current scientific evidence in her practice recommendations as well as an individualized personal approach to each patient."
