"Michael Z. Kurtz, DO, is a board-certified family physician, osteopathic physician, and the medical director at Valley View Wellness Medical Center. Located in Garden Grove, California, patients come to him for a personal patient/doctor relationship and detailed, understandable information about their health. For four decades, he has been a trusted pillar in medicine and works relentlessly to find the underlying cause of each patient’s condition in order to treat the disease as a whole and not just the symptoms.
Dr. Kurtz began his education at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduating, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to earn his medical degree from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
At Valley View Wellness Medical Center, Dr. Kurtz often performs diagnostic tests and imaging techniques such as cancer screenings, ultrasounds, X-rays, and stress testing. As an osteopathic physician, he takes an integrative approach to treating all aspects of each patient’s health. He works closely with patients to create appropriate and effective treatment plans after discovering the causes of their symptoms.
After completing his education, Dr. Kurtz received additional training in his field during an internship at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He went on to educate future medical professionals as a clinical adjunct professor at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, and at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
