"Jeffrey F. Caren, MD has been in practice since 1978. He is an Attending Physician in the Division of Cardiology at The Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is a past Vice Clinical Chief of Medicine, Cedars-Sinai Medical Staff and has served numerous times in the Cardiology and Department of Medicine Performance Improvement Committees as well as the Medical Executive Committee at Cedars-Sinai. He provides primary and consultative cardiology care. His main interest is preventive cardiology and the treatment of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and cardiac rhythm abnormalities.
Dr. Caren is a life-long California resident. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in philosophy and earned a MD degree at University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. He published extensively and earned the Deans Prize in Research. After serving in the US Army Medical Corp as a major, he completed a cardiology fellowship at the UCLA-West Los Angeles Veteran’s Medical Center."
