"Amit A. Sangave, MD is a caring and patient-oriented physician and surgeon who specializes in the management of retinal diseases. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is fellowship-trained in vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Sangave specializes in management of diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears, and detachment as well as a host of other retinal diseases. Procedures he performs include intravitreal injections, retinal lasers, and vitrectomy for vitreous hemorrhage, retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, and macular hole.
Dr. Sangave was born and brought up in upstate New York, and completed both medical school and residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He then went on to finish a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
