"Dr. Mohamed M. Abdulhamid’s extensive medical background includes a degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, residency training in neurosurgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He also completed fellowship training in minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Additionally, he has served as a trauma neurosurgeon at HonorHealth North Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Abdulhamid has a vast experience in the neurosurgical management and treatment of traumatic brain and spine injuries related to sports, work, and motor vehicle accidents. He is one of the few neurosurgeons in Arizona whose neurosurgical opinion and expertise have been used in the evaluation of causation of injuries.
He is certified in the minimally invasive Coflex® procedure, total cervical disc replacement, artificial disc replacement, minimally invasive discectomy, intraoperative navigation, and image-guided surgery.
Most of these surgeries are performed through a small tube which is inserted into the procedure site through a one inch incision in the skin. Remarkably, only the skin is cut, not the muscles or soft tissue, which leads to less blood loss, less pain, and reduced chance of infection.
He utilizes minimally invasive techniques, non-fusion alternatives, and same-day-outpatient procedures that allow for faster healing and recovery."
