"McKenzie's passion for women’s health is rooted in the fact that her and her sister were raised by a hard-working single mother. McKenzie grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania where she later attended Wilkes University to achieve a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
After gaining some nursing experience in pediatrics, she decided to follow her dreams of working in women’s health and moved to Tampa, Florida. It was there where she gained experience working at one of Florida’s most prestigious all women’s hospitals.
McKenzie was accepted into Vanderbilt University’s rigorous women’s health nurse practitioner program in 2019. She graduated in August of 2020 with a Masters of Science in nursing and achieved board certification in the women’s health specialty shortly thereafter.
McKenzie says she is beyond excited to be a resident of Arizona and looking forward to lots of hiking and enjoying the outdoors. She feels strongly that her calling as a women’s health nurse practitioner is to advocate for her patient’s reproductive rights and be a face of hope, compassion, and acceptance. "
