"A board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon with interests in skin cancer and general dermatology. He earned a human biology degree from Grand Canyon University, where he was also a member of the varsity basketball team. He completed medical school at the University of Washington and was a member of the Hispanic Health Pathway program. He then completed a dermatology residency at Texas A&M – Baylor Scott and White. Following completion of residency training, He received additional training in skin cancer removal and reconstruction through completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology (Mohs). His involvement in education and research / clinical trials has facilitated a host of publications. He has published more than 25 articles in prominent peer-reviewed dermatology and surgery journals, including JAMA Surgery, JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Dermatologic Surgery, and the Journal of Facial Plastic Surgery, among several others. He has authored several chapters in dermatology textbooks and presented research at a number of prominent dermatology meetings.
He is fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, dirt biking, traveling, and playing sports-basketball, tennis, and racquetball."
