She completed her undergraduate education at Mount Union University in Alliance, Ohio. She obtained her Masters in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with a clinical clerkship through Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Medical Center, and VA Medical Centers. She worked in Detroit for years at a busy dermatology practice with affiliations and privileges at St. John Macomb Hospital. She also performed research as an investigator in many clinical trials for skin care treatments."
