"Dr. Jeffrey Fuller is a fellowship-trained and board-certified ophthalmologist sub-specializing in medical and surgical treatment of conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. Dr. Fuller is the recipient of numerous awards and scientific grants, including one for the research of the Moxifloxacin project. His research has led to numerous publications, scientific presentations and scientific posters. Dr. Fuller has worked under mentors Peter Detloff, Ph.D., Robert Weiss, Ph.D., and Scott Woodward, Ph.D.
Dr. Fuller is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association of Alabama, the Southern Medical Association, the Iowa Eye Association and other professional organizations.
Dr. Fuller earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Utah. He spent two years in Brazil completing missionary services. He then obtained his medical education at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Fuller’s internship was completed at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia, Department of Ophthalmology in Augusta. He also completed his fellowship training in vitreoretinal disease at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City."
